About Yvonne
If you’ve found your way here, something brought you — maybe a weight you’ve been carrying for too long, a relationship that feels strained, a chapter of your life that’s quietly unraveling, or a part of yourself you’re ready to understand more deeply.
Whatever it is, you don’t have to figure it out alone. And you don’t have to explain yourself twice to be understood — because here, both your languages and both your worlds are welcome.
I’m Yvonne Perez-Sallaberry, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #150627) and bilingual psychotherapist practicing in English and Spanish. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute and bring over five years of clinical experience to my work with individuals and couples.
I practice from a warm, collaborative, and grounded place — meeting you where you are, moving at a pace that feels safe, and working alongside you with genuine curiosity about your story and what healing looks like for you.
My approach is evidence-based and deeply personal. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based practices — weaving together clinical tools with genuine human connection. I believe that lasting change happens not just through insight, but through feeling truly seen and supported in the process.
I also understand that culture shapes the way we experience everything — our relationships, our bodies, our sense of self. As a bilingual therapist, I bring cultural attunement into every session, so you never have to translate who you are to be understood.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples navigating:
- Trauma and PTSD — including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and traumatic life events
- Couples and relationship challenges — communication breakdowns, conflict, intimacy, and reconnection
- Women’s health and perinatal mental health — including postpartum depression, pregnancy loss, and reproductive life transitions
- Life transitions — career changes, identity shifts, grief, divorce, and major turning points
- Anxiety and stress — including the unique pressures faced by bicultural and bilingual women
I offer both in-person sessions (San Francisco) and virtual therapy throughout California.
“I came to this work through a deep belief that therapy, done with care and intention, can be truly transformative. I am especially committed to serving women and bilingual communities who deserve a space to show up fully — in both their languages, with all of their complexity.”
If something here resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation — in English or Spanish, whichever feels most like home. Reach out today and let’s take that first step together.
